I live just outside of Boston with my husband, four children, and  In my spare (lol) time, I enjoy writing and performing comedy and co-founded and have co-produced the “Women in Comedy Festival” for over ten years.

FAQ

Are you related to the late Joseph Barbera of the Hanna-Barbera dynasty?
No, I’d probably be more successful by now, but my great aunt was friends with him in high school in Brooklyn and they stayed in touch most of their lives. Cool, right?

How do you do your illustrations?
I usually do pencil sketches by hand, then scan them into my computer (or take a picture with my phone these days) and finish them in Photoshop, procreate or illustrator. I use a Wacom tablet on my desktop and an apple pencil to draw directly on the iPad.

What’s the dinner plan tonight?
I probably don’t know.

Is there even more stuff you do?

Check out some of my rejected New Yorker cartoons (some of them did get published in other magazines and one was even published in a book about dogs.) I do cartoons for fun on the side, but I’m happy to do them for hire if asked.
